Green tiles make a green floor for your home

Green tiles make a green floor for your home In the boring-monotonous life span, there are some events, actions and issues that make persons feel like they are alive and feel that whatever hard work they do are worth it.

Those ideas can be traveling, cooking, photographing or just staying at home and enjoying its beauty. There is simply no other feeling like to be ‘owned’ in some place, where a person’s feet touch the ground at the center of the house and breathes its beautiful atmosphere with peace and happiness.

In order to feel those feelings, the feet may feel that they are on some material which is natural. While thinking to decorate homes with greener ideas, perhaps the floor tiles do carry a banner. Feeling the soft, natural feeling that a home has, surely comes from its tiles and their material types.

Mostly, when going to a store, it is beneficial to know that the earth-based products are stone, masonry, tile, gypsum and concrete in general. However, although it is said that they are earth-based, they still contain unwanted non-ecological materials such as radon which is a radioactive gas.

Therefore, finding the floor tile that matches perfectly the home’s atmosphere and furniture with the less amount of radon inside is a tough process.

Knowing the features of tiles based by their durability, environmental conditions and quality gives pretty much insight about what to look and where to look while decorating homes. For example, stone, ceramic, terrazzo tiles are the most durable ones compared to others. It is also important to choose the tile according to the weather conditions. For the home which is near to the Alps, tiles that have low water absorption can be chosen (granite, marble, milestone, etc).

The options of tiles are vast: glass, installation, ceramic, terrazzo, stone, etc. Deciding which will fit the home of the dreams in the greener way vary according to the home’s style, people who live in, which feature is the most wanted feature and weather conditions.
