Japan and the Wind Lens concept

Wind is a huge source of energy which can produce sufficient electricity. Wind power is being used and promoted in various parts all around the globe. This source has gained recognition and various countries are trying to use wind power to utilize it for various daily needs. According to a calculation, the electricity which was generated through wind power contributed around 2% in the electricity consumption all around the world. This calculation was done in the statistics for the year 2009.
The entire world is realizing the power of wind and its usages and with that there has been a noticeable growth of 31.7%. With such impressive data it is easy to understand that a trend has been set for using wind power to its maximum.
These data also show that the usage has been almost doubled within three years. Japan is one country which is using all its geothermal sources to produce renewable energy. This country is working very actively to use wind energy for various usages. A new and very innovative method has been found in the form of latest wind turbines. These turbines can convert the wind power to energy in lesser time and give good output.
This latest technology was unveiled during Yokohama renewable Energy International Exhibition in the year 2010. This technology is named Wind Lens, and has proved that it is the most innovative and successful technology for wind turbine. This wind turbine has many hoops along with hexagonal bases which are floating.
Every hoop has a diameter of 112 meters which can pull the wind to the centre. As a result of the test performed on the Wind Lens, this turbine can produce more energy in lesser time. Also, there would be lesser noise than the one produced by other wind turbines which makes the Wind Lens a very effective machine.
