Mitsubishi about to launch 6 new hybrid cars

Mitsubishi about to launch 6 new hybrid cars Mitsubishi is a famous Japanese car make that has garnered the attention of people throughout the world being the fourth largest car maker in Japan. Of late, the automobile company is into green cars like the rest of the counterparts who have already plunged into this potential market. The great news is that Mitsubishi will be releasing 8 new models that are environmental friendly by March 2016. These hybrid models will be a mini commercial model called MINICAB-MiEV. This is brought in the new mid-term business plan of Mitsubishi. It released i-MiEV in the year 2009 which is the first commercial electric car that brought its rivals Nissan, Ford and Toyota also into it.

The MINICAB-MiEV will be the first plug-in gasoline electric hybrid vehicle that will come out in April 2012. Mitsubishi is set to strengthen ties with China local partner to form a manufacturing base there to reduce cost. Masuko, a key executive in the company admitted that it is difficult to expand capacity in Japan at this time. The automobile tycoon is also looking out for other areas such as Brazil and Russia. It is getting ready to have a base in Russia for its sports utility full-fledged.

The raise of yen against Euro and US dollars has made export of car an unwise idea and hence the Japan Company has decided to make the cars where the consumers are to facilitate sale. It targets areas where there are less exchange rate risks as well. Mitsubishi is also to build a facility in Thailand which will be the second best exporter next to Japan in this regard.

With all this, Mitsubishi’s ratio of Overseas production with that if the complete output is set to raise by some 54 percent overall in the financial year 2013 from what it was in the year 2010 which is 44 percent.
This was the plan before the deadly tsunami that swept of Japan, March 2011. Still with the resilience specific to Japan and the brand the plan is set to stay in place. We can only wish them good luck.
