Toxic for human good for energy

Toxic for human good for energy CO2 or carbon dioxide seems to be the number one enemy of the environment when it goes above ambient limits. While it is required for photosynthesis, too much CO2 is harmful for the planet as it leads to the greenhouse effect. This is one of the prime reasons why countries and governments around the globe are being pushed to cut down on their CO2 emissions in a bid to get a handle on global warming and save the planet from certain disaster.
Now Canada has come up with a mobile CO2 capturing and compressing unit that is specially designed to read, analyze and monitor emissions from its power plants. This unit is known as the CanCo2 and it consists of a tangled web of metallic pipes as well as gauges. These are placed in a mobile trailer which can remove polluting gases of oil, coal and gas (fossil fuel) based power plants, and then purify and compress the CO2 for storage, transport and subsequently use.
The technology and the objectives of the CanCO2 project are just at an experimental stage as its impact and benefits are being studied as of now. Once industry is convinced of the advantages of thisCO2 capture and compression technology, large scale and commercial use of the technology can be expected and expedited. This would obviously need a lot of investment too.
The main objectives and the studies that are being conducted currently using the CanCO2 involve the study of some of the unknown variables of Co2 capture and storage as well as the attendant costs and the uses of processing such gases. The commercial viability of the project is also to be demonstrated so that it can be adopted widely by industry. The technology is able to separate and purify CO2 generated by power plants so that it can be stored buried in the ground, without being allowed to pollute the atmosphere.
In may be worth mentioning here that Saskatchewan province in Canada has the largest facility for storing Co2 inside the ground where liquid CO2 is injected into depleted oil reservoirs , thus showing that CO2 can be stored inside the ground infinitely
