A book for Enabling Green Growth Eco-innovation will be a key element, the result of industry efforts to address climate change and achieve a "green growth" in the post-Kyoto.
Eco-innovation has required a rapid introduction of innovative technologies and more systematic application of available solutions, including non-technological.
It also offers the possibility to involve new players, develop new areas and increase their competitiveness.
Structural changes in the economies will be vital in the coming years.
This book contains all the research and analysis conducted during the first phase of the OECD project on sustainable and eco-innovation. Its primary objective is to provide benchmarking tools on sustainable production and stimulate eco-innovation through a better understanding of the mechanisms of innovation.
Examines the concepts and forms of an analytical framework, analysis of the nature and processes of eco-innovation, we discuss the current indicators of sustainable production and examines the methodologies for measuring eco-innovation and takes stock of national strategies and policy initiatives for eco-innovation.
This book is part of the OECD innovation strategy and is also one of the first contributions to the OECD green growth strategy.
