the newest gadgets

the newest gadgets The UK is a nation obsessed with gadgets. Indeed, a recent report by the Sunday Times found that 94% of men, the main reason is thrilled when their partners announce their pregnancy is not the joy of having an early opportunity to take that creature's arms, but the possibility of buying the newest gadgets - or 'dadgets' - which will shortly be available to them.

Here are some gadgets available:
1. Wattson: By far the best available eco-gadgets, Wattson is a sort of aesthetically pleasing guilt-o-meter that shows power usage in units of pounds or delightfully diffuse red LEDs. Glows relaxing lilac - presumably there to calm you as you watch in horror at the numbers to a minimum. Wattson is just a pretty face, but is designed to be able to go anywhere in the house, and, along with the software that comes with it, the ingeniously monikered 'Holmes', claims to be able to help reduce the electricity bill between five and 20%.
2. VERYPC'S GREENHIVE: Ideal for businesses that are looking to save space and reduce their consumption of energy, Greenhive is a computer that may have four or seven concurrent users - and the computer even more affordable: around £ 1,000 for the version small, and just over £ 3,000 for the larger one. The company, which won the Pro PC Environmental Innovator of the Year in 2007, said the computer uses a minimum of nine watts of electricity - compared to most desktop computers, which use about 100.
3. INTELLIPANEL: We all have good intentions, but sometimes we forget to turn off the screen of your computer, or leave a TV on standby. With Intellipanel changes: It automatically cuts power to appliances not in use. A godsend for those inclined to forget.
4. ECOKETTLE: Everybody needs a cup of tea during their working day, but according to the research, preparing on average twice the amount of water we need for a cup of tea. Enter Ecokettle in a measuring jug-cum-boiler, which includes a feature that allows the user to fill the kettle up to eight pairs, but only enough water to boil the number of cups they want to do.
Ecokettle saves nearly a third of that usually used for tea, which could save enough electricity to run the lighting in the UK.
