The revolution of bamboo Why Bamboo? This is a question asked by many, who don’t know what a useful and amazing plant is the Bamboo. For those of you who experience a green life style, this plant might be extremely helpful. The areas with bamboo plantations are not only in Asia. This plant could be also seen in North America and Eastern and Southeastern United States. Lately bamboo turns to be very used in housing, building and even pharmacy. It is the world fastest growing plant and could be managed for almost every life sector – industrial hemp, bicycle frames , carts, cooking utensils, fences ,baskets ,boats, diapers buckets, bird cage, clothing, bridges, fans, and many more.
Bamboo rises as a top eco sustainable resource. China even goes farther by producing beer from bamboo. In latest design home decoration bamboo turns to be the most used material for carpeting, furniture, wallpapers and even curtains. Experts define it as good source in relation to the cellulose ethanol production.
The revolution of bamboo has started many years ago in Asia. Since years ago Asians produce food and several medical applications. There is even a bamboo perfume! In many countries bamboo is a delicacy and it’s prepared with different recipes such as steamed and boiled bamboo. Healthy researchers claim that it is one of the greenest foods ever.
Given the fact bamboo has yet many undiscovered options, it may replace the usage of plastic, as well as wood products. Clothing industry already uses a bamboo for its organic lines.
Although there is a statement, which claims that exploitation of bamboo consumes a lot of energy, it is still one of the most renewable and sustainable sources, given by the nature. Bamboo usage is yet a step to a greener future and could be the major weapon against destruction of forests and petroleum derived materials. Certainly bamboo will be the basic material for 21 century sustainable building.
