Solar panel with human hair

This is an amazing new : a Nepali has designed a £23 solar panel using human hair. We are talkin about a teenager. His name is Milan Karki 18 years old and the edge is not the only amazing curios thing of thi story. Infact he lives in Nepal, in a rural village.
He used himan hair instead of silicon wich is an important part, but expansive part, component of the solar panels.
The price estimeted using this original idea is £23, the cost coul decrease in a massive production.
The solar panel works because melanin, the pigment that gives hair its colour, is sensitive to the light and can work as an electrical conductor. Karki was inspired to follow this route by a Stephen Hawking book, which explained how to create static energy from hair.
The device that Karki has demonstrated is capable of producing 9V or 18W of energy – plenty to charge a mobile phone. Karki has now sent out several devices to other districts near his home for testing. He wanted to provide electricity for his home, then his village. But maybe could be a great ideas for all world.
