The new credit card

The new credit card What do you think if in a short time you haven't your credit card in your wallet?
Here's what happens:
Dynamics Inc. is producing a smart credit card that allows you to pay at point of sale loyalty points with your regular schedule and money.

The new card, called the Redemption, shown at the 2010 convention FinovateFall with other financial innovations in New York will be incorporated electronics inside slip thin plastic card. The cards have two small membrane keys so you can choose which payment method to use, and there is a pair of LEDs to let you know that was pressed. The paper then actually reprograms its magnetic strip.
The solution is potentially more secure than conventional cards, since it is much more difficult to clone. Citi Bank has tried the technology on a small scale, and will launch a much larger scale study from the month of November.
The redemption card is a smart way to expand the powers of the credit card, but it will be a temporary solution.
RFID credit cards are coming soon.
RFID means that you will be able to pay by waving a wireless card on a panel at the point of sale - and its more sophisticated version that will allow a computer store to interact with your RFID-enabled smartphones, increasing the loyalty card points , and even upload your ads or phone consumer applications automatically.
If all that happens, money is virtual. RFID is generally based on a spiral antenna inside the device and card reader. The spiral can be subtle, so it is easily hidden in a paper card in public transport use throughout the world, although this may damage tickets more easily. Nokia plans to add communication antennas and RFID chips in its phones, and even Apple has patented the heck out of the idea, but both companies will probably rely on an antenna built into the phone.

It seems increasingly certain that Apple is going to bring RFID in common use with the iPhone for 2011 (the iPhone 5). We know that Apple is passionate about design and innovation and this is no exception.
